Travellers at home wishing, dreaming, waiting…So, we can’t go and travel where and when we want but we can still connect to people around the globe, in their homes, where they work or out and about. We now host a range of live, virtual tours online with our travel partners.

All experiences take place over the internet and are run by expert local guides in cities around the world. This helps us keep local guides working while tours in real life are stopped because of Covid.

(Scroll down to see current published selection.)

Guides give live demonstrations and lessons like cooking, yoga, drawing and painting. Some virtual tours use screen sharing with images of locations to add another dimension. Others use interactive streaming video devices that take you on live walking tours with them.

How Do Virtual Tours Online Work?

Some tours run on specific days while others can be set up to operate almost any day. We just book you with the guide and get you set up and you’re off to learn and explore in an online experience.

Some virtual tours use Zoom, while others use a virtual conferencing software. We’ll let you know exactly what you’ll need.

Many tours are unpublished (more info below on this page).

On Offer

Online tours start at around $25.00 CAD per person depending on the guide and the complexity of the type of tour.

After you book the virtual tour and want to take a real trip up to 18 months in the future, we’ll credit you back the cost of the virtual tour. Just let us know when you book and we’ll make a credit note in your file that you can use later towards a real guided tour, a custom package, or any of host of travel programs.

Unpublished Virtual Tours

Below are all the published tours we offer that are on set days and times, but we have many, many more unpublished live virtual tour that can set up with a local guide. If you have a destination in mind or an interest in trying a live demo of some kind, please contact us.
