About Joining Us

We sometimes get asked if we go on the tours we sell. So, as trip planners, we approached some of our favourite tour companies and asked “if we wanted to travel and invite some guests, how could we do this?”

That led us to “Join Us In”, which is just a phrase to say we are taking a tour, going on a cruise, taking a vacation, if you’d like to join us, please do. When we ever get to a total of 12 people (us plus 10) we stop taking bookings because at that point we’d have to consider larger vehicles and higher numbers of people to guarantee the tour has enough people to go. That sounds like work. This is meant to be fun.

Where We Are Going

Join Us for A Taste of the Mediterranean 2025: A Cruise through the Heart of Provence and the Camargue Region. A cruise aboard a canal barge promises a peaceful break where you take the time to discover “la douce France” in a different way. The MS Anne-Marie, a true cocoon of charm, sails on the French canals and offers its passengers an original and authentic experience. Contact us for exact dates and prices.)

From Sète to Arles, join us on a cruise through breathtaking sceneries. Discover the Camargue and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, one of the jewels of the Languedoc known as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Visit Aigues-Mortes, a medieval fortified town with a prestigious heritage in the heart of one of the most beautiful natural sites of Provence. You will also have a chance to explore 2,500 years of history in Arles.

Join us in Kenya – 2026. Alanna has many great memories of visiting Nairobi, the great savannah’s and forests and George has never been so this is both revisit and first-time trip. We’ll be staying in some wild land camps, some hotels and travelling by sturdy all terrain mini-bus. Details are still in the making but you can express your interest here. We will be looking at dates where we can be there for the spring calving season.

Join Us in Spain and Experience Al Andalus Mar 2025- You missed this one. It was a fantastic trip, a perfect time to visit Spain with a couple days of light rains to bring out the best of spring. The orange trees lining the boulevards and parks in Cordoba were in fragrant blossom, the street cafes open for late afternoon cafe con leches or a glass of tempranillo, the people friendly and welcoming.

In a nutshell, this tour was a first visit to Spain for us. We traveled mainly by rail. Spain has the most developed rail system in Europe and we really like the comfort of trains over almost every other form of transportation. We visited all the major cities of old Spain exploring the beautiful Moorish architecture, the music and culture of flamenco, the food and wine, all at a leisurely pace.
