Quality Service With Local Providers
Cycling and walking holidays can be enjoyed without a lot of frills and we have some great options if you’re more interested in the outdoors than hotel star ratings. Self guided means pre-planned and has prepaid accommodation, meals and luggage transfers. Just you and the joy on a walking or cycling holiday in Portugal.

Here are some examples of self guided trips.
Portuguese Camino de Santiago 13 nights
Follow ancient pilgrim trails for a uniquely memorable experience you’ll treasure forever. The Portuguese Camino de Santiago has been one of the main pilgrim routes to Santiago for centuries. Set out on a journey of discovery, not only of the country but of yourself as you follow in the footsteps of countless pilgrims and walkers. Spend an unforgettable two weeks walking through stunning Portuguese and Galician countryside and villages and exploring fascinating historical towns and cities between two UNESCO World Heritage cities.
Cycling the Albarhino Coast from Braga to Santiago de Compostela 7 nights
Embark on an unforgettable self-guided bike tour from the heart of Northern Portugal to the Atlantic shores of Galicia, where wine, seafood, and culture meet in a stunning coastal adventure.
Your journey begins in Braga, a lively northern Portuguese city known for its Roman roots and baroque heritage. From here, you’ll cycle through the lush countryside of the Minho region, passing riverside towns like Arcos de Valdevez and the historic fortress of Valença. After crossing into Galicia, the adventure continues along peaceful trails of the Portuguese Coastal Camino to the charming city of Pontevedra.
From this point, the route unfolds along Galicia’s stunning Rías Baixas—famous for their fjord-like inlets, Albariño vineyards, and traditional fishing villages. Discover the granite houses of Combarro, the golden beaches of Sanxenxo and Portonovo, and the relaxed seafood haven of O Grove. Ride through Cambados, capital of Albariño wine, and enjoy a scenic loop around the authentic Arousa Island.
A unique boat trip from Vilanova de Arousa follows the legendary route of Saint James, before you rejoin the Camino by bike. Your journey ends at the magnificent cathedral of Santiago de Compostela—a fitting finale to this cross-border coastal adventure.

On Pricing: Why we quote a price for every single trip instead of printing it.
Since Covid, published prices in travel are almost never correct. They are mostly lures or click bait. Many companies have gone to “dynamic” pricing meaning the prices change automatically based on demand and supply. As travel advisors we see this and other changes daily, hourly, even minutely on public websites. Sales appear and vanish, reappear dressed slightly different. Volatility is the norm. So, our approach is counsel clients to look at pricing differently and work with us to establish reasoned parameters for choosing one thing or another.
Let’s talk about the possibilities.
